2 hours of phone calls on PTS? I recommend instead hours 2 and 3 of Macko and Cauz with Rick Tocchet, Stu Grimson(this guy became a lawyer?), and Jeff O’Neill. Or Dave Poulin, Kelly Gruber, and Rutgers talk on Brady/Lang-8am hour.

Roger Ebert was not a sports reporter but I think this classic article would speak to them. If you only knew him from tv, discover a great writer.

Wow Brunt on a rant about the Globe article the other day (in the 5pm hour).

    Brunt ripped the Globe good.

“The globe would have never sent me to the Dominican to do a story, they’re too cheap to even send someone on a road trip to Cleveland”

It was a fine 10 minute rant. He was pissed his integrity was called into question so good on him. Made for good radio.

Anybody have a link to the Globe article? I don’t read that joke of a publication, but I have to see this article. Was it Dobiggin?

It was a good listen. You don’t hear/see Brunt get so riled up very much. While the Olympic torch thing was a bit suspect, I don’t think the opinions of the hosts and guests of PTS and presumably the other shows reflect a bias towards Rogers. It’s mostly been anti-Rogers for quite a number of years. Increased coverage of the Jays is warranted given this past off-season. Both the good stuff and the criticisms have been discussed.

    RE: Dirk Hayhurst

Is it just me or does it seem like he’s no longer the co-host of Baseball Central? From the podcast page:

Tuesday: …Dirk Hayhurst, Co-Host, Baseball Central At Noon
Friday: Jeff Blair and Jack Morris co-host with guests Dirk Hayhurst…

Also during the show, Blair referred to Hayhurst as their baseball analyst. What? They couldn’t sort out his immigration papers or something? Nice job Rogers!
