Probably one of the all time worst guest lists on tonight’s Primetime round table.

I think Scott MacArthur has done a pretty good job. Kudos to TSN for covering the Jays this year despite the whole Jays/Rogers connection.

The last ratings (from Dec. 2012) I read about for Jay and Dan vs. Sportsnet were:

    2 million viewers for Jay/Dan
101 thousand for whoever was on against them on Sportsnet.

    #’s are from this article:

    thanks for the links Nan.
    .

Raju doesn’t list numbers for the radio side but I’m glad to read the quotes from TSN that they regard radio as a long term investment. The numbers are meaningless to me as a listener. I want both stations to keep producing high quality programs.
    .

Also interesting to read that SN Magazine is nearing SI’s numbers in Canada. That’s pretty big. I wonder what kind of future there is in that format, but there is no question that Rogers has assembled a good group of writers to produce original content.

Funny that sportsnet mag is successful, since the way that 590 stopped shilling it, i would have thought it was tanking.

Alex, everything that’s “new” gets a big push at the introduction. Just for awareness, now that people are aware of the magazine, there’s no real need to plug it daily. Some of the shows on SN590 will have writers on occasionally to talk about the cover story, or something else inside the magazine

I admitted only listen to blair and mccown, but i cant recall the last time i heard someone from the magazine plugging a story on 590.

Rogers seems love their synergy, so the mag not being a bigger visible piece seems surpising.

Of course, i am saying that not being in Toronto and never watching any Sportsnet channels.

Why should we believe the numbers for the magazine? They’re not from an independent agency as are the radio and TV ratings. There was a ‘scandal’ 2 years ago with the Wall Street Journal inflating their circulation.

Everything is always going great – the magazine, wireless, cable, radio, etc., meanwhile Nadir Mohamed is being forced out at the end of the year for some reason.

I’m listening to the PTS roundtable. Unless the actual radio version was different from the podcast, Shannon talked through the 5pm segment ending music. The “traffic report” helicopter music thing was already playing when he finished talking and then Arash Madani was talking until Eric Smith called an end to the segment. o_o

    .

that’s probably because Nadir let George Cope walk all over him to force the Burke firing so that Cope could bring in someone who would trade for Luongo and get the Leafs in to the playoffs.
