Jim Ralph won’t be back on Toronto Maple Leaf radio broadcasts.
The question now is who should replace him?
What say you????

I’d say the obvious candidate is Gord Stellick. He has done it before, he has good chemistry with Joe Bowen, and he’s a great storyteller. But then he’d be leaving a huge void on the Leafs Nation pre game/post game show. Could he possibly do both?
O’Neill 100%. best of the bunch by far
I wouldn’t have a problem with Stellick but I’m betting we get a Sportsnet personality for games on the Fan (Stellick, Nattres?) and a TSN personality for the TSNR broadcasts (O’Neill, MacLennan?).
My choice would be Paul Maurice. He is back from coaching overseas. He was great when doing work for TSN and he has a sense of humour and can communicate really well.
I realize the politics but arent listeners better served by having a constant team doing the games?
I would not rule out Mark Osborne or Bob McGill, both of whom have been around Toronto media for a few years, and McGill has done extensive colour with the AHL Marlies.
Noam Chomsky….definitely Noam Chomsky. 🙂
Stellick was interviewed on the radio a few months ago and said his “dream job” would be doing colour for the Leafs again…
Leo Komarov as the first ever player-colour guy.
One thing I won’t miss is Ralph’s constant whining about the officiating.
Id like to see TSN AND 590 have their own personalities for radio then the same crew doing the same both. Id like Bowen and O’Neil for TSN and Dunleavy and Nattres for 590
Does anyone know if Howard Berger is available?
I wonder if Finnegan from Mr. Dressup would consider. He’s always made more sense than the entire Hotstove panel.

Find a replacement for the god-awful Greg Millen as well IMHO!
