Apparently the PTS roundtable today is McCown, Perkins, Sansone, and Shoalts…………….potentially a big improvement on Butch Carter and Gord Kirke from last week
Re: tonight’s PTS roundtable – it’s fun listening to people talk about tennis who know very little about the sport.
They just talked about whether Raonic has ever beaten a top player – of course, nobody on the panel knows that he beat Murray twice last year.
At least Shoalts admits that he’s a bit out of his element on this subject.
As a tennis fan I’m glad I’m not listening.

I guess that means Bob is the panel expert! A couple of years ago Bob said Federer should retire as it’s getting painful to watch him lose. Later that year Federer won the Swiss Open (ATP 500), the Paris indoors (Masters 1000), and the ATP Tour Championship in three consecutive weeks. The following year (2012) he won two Masters titles and another little tournament called Wimbledon. Yup, should’ve retired in 2011.
After Federer lost badly to Nadal in the 2008 French Open final Michael Wilbon said on PTI on ESPN that he was done and should retire
Federer has won 5 grand slams since then and is still playing……………he plays Nadal in the Cincinnati quarterfinals tonight
