It is sad to see when in its heyday, this site was a must read, full of insightful articles, interviews with TSM and various guests, and lots of intelligent comments that would just build and build upon each other.

I do hope it can find a way to recreate its glory period, but I am doubtful, given its current state.

A big part of the problem (why it’s so dead) imo, is; the two a day media drive line-up posts. More times than not, the afternoon drive ones are posted long after the shows have started, or are posted after the shows are finished. It’s not really all that informative when a) you’ve already heard the show. b) the producers or hosts of the shows have tweeted the line-ups or announced them on air, and given you times for when certain guests will be on air.

Posting them twice a day also quickly buries what few good threads there are here now (usually Seen & Heard). Once that thread hits page two, all discussion seems to be killed.

Maybe just have an open “week of” radio show thread and have all discussion in it, instead of 10 which have nothing.

    Just my opinion.

It’s quiet because I am in the process of moving my family from Seattle back to Toronto and I don’t have the ability to read, listen and watch everything in the toronto sports media scene right now. Be patient it’s all coming back.

A little unfair to criticize TSM for the lack of traffic, as he has stated the reasons above.

Also, regular poster Mike in Boston has done a wonderful job of breaking down the major issues of the week on his weekend column and has drawn a number of comments and commentors on his post. Plus, outside of a few terminations by Rogers, there has been very little to talk about over the past month or so.

I think also more stuff was going on a couple years ago. The Fan fired everyone and took a while to fill in the slots. TSN Radio started up. It’s kind of settled now.
