This is only my opinion, and I’m certain others may disagree with me and feel the issue is important, but I’m sick and tired of Declan Hill and the game fixing scandal involving soccer/football in Asia, Europe and the CSA.

I really don’t care, and I strongly disagree with his opinion that our government should get involved somehow. I want my government to ensure that the roads are cleared of snow, our health care provides a certain level of care, protect me and my family from crime and runs an efficient bureaucracy.

If people want to try and fix low level soccer/football matches, be my guest. If you want to try and fix NHL, NFL, MBA and MLB games, be my guest. It’s entertainment, not national defence. Leave it up to the leagues to police themselves, not our goverment or police force, which has more important things to worry about.

I wonder how much money Mr. Hill has made from this scandel and his books sales?

What about when players are threatened, assaulted or killed by the match fixers?

Should the police intervene then?

I like how all the premier league managers tut tuted the english match fixing scandals, when seemingly 1/3 of teams are sponsored by gambling sites.

Then call the cops and get the police to intervene. And pick another career.

Bob probably likes him because he makes soccer look bad. When Cathal Kelly was saying MLS was in deep trouble due to Beckham’s departure Bob seemed to enjoy having him on the show.
