Ho hum, what’s everyone doing around noon eastern today?

So, as promised in the spirit of the Winter Olympics we are going to bring you the Toronto Sports Media Olympics, asking you the consumers who is the best in various categories of sports media here in Toronto.

The next category is hockey writer

The question: Who in your minds are the Gold, Silver and Bronze hockey writers here in Toronto?

The criteria is simple: They must write primarily about hockey for a newspaper or website. So today as we all watch Canada vs USA in Olympic hockey, tell us who you think are the best hockey writers around.

Gold: James Mirtle (Globe & Mail)…………very informative and thinks outside the box

Silver: Elliotte Friedman (CBC.ca)…………I realize he is mostly a broadcaster but his blog (escpecially the weekly 30 Thoughts) is excellent

Bronze: Ken Campbell (The Hockey News)…………he is quite often the voice of reason when it comes to hockey
