From NCAA Men’s College, Basketball and Major League Baseball telecasts for ESPN to play-by-play for the Toronto Blue Jays on Sportsnet Dan Shulman is usually a busy, busy man. With the sporting world shutdown, Danny spent some time with Jonah Sigel talking about life in big leagues, covering MLB and NCAA basketball.

You can hear his calls on Saturday Primetime men’s college basketball games alongside analyst Jay Bilas and commentary for select games from a variety of conferences. He also calls regular season MLB games for the network and is the voice of the World Series and additional MLB Postseason series on ESPN Radio.

Without question amongst the most successful broadcasters to come out of Toronto in terms of success south of the border, he was named the 2011 NSSA National Sportscaster of the Year. In addition, he is the first two-time winner of the Sports Media Canada Broadcaster of the Year award (2000, 2007).

Some of the questions Dan discusses:

How did Bob McCown end up on the morning show? How did Dan end up the host of Prime Time Sports?

What was it like announcing to the world that Osama Bin Laden had been murdered?

Of the youngsters on the Blue Jays which one would he start a team with if he had to choose and why?

What it was like calling the Bat Flip inning for ESPN radio?

What it was like working with Jim Shaky Hunt?

All this and more plus great offers from our friends at Betonline.ag and Sleepenvie.com

there are some audio issues in the middle – stick with it, it improves 🙂
